We are looking for an experienced HVAC / Hydraulics Design Engineer to join our growing team based in Hawke’s Bay. Aquair’s focus is, primarily, on existing buildings, and long-term relationships with our clients that own, manage, and use them. You will be challenged by interesting, varied and often complex projects that require agile thinking and creativity to develop a solution.

We’re ideally looking for an intermediate to senior level engineer who relishes the opportunity to spread their wings and work with freedom to develop solutions with creativity and innovation.

• Undertake site surveys to assess and appraise building services of varying types and ages, across a wide variety of sites.
• Provide design solutions for new and existing building services.
• Be enthusiastic to oversee projects, and implementation of whole solutions from concept to completion and beyond.
• Work independently, take initiative, and work in a client-centric way.
• Be consistent in attention to detail and have a commitment to provide the highest quality of service.
• Work as part of a team, be a strong communicator and be empathetic with clients and building users.
• Value integrity and honesty above all else, and continue Aquair’s culture of building trust with everyone we deal with.

• A minimum level of engineering qualification NZCE (mechanical) – equivalent to NCEA level 4 or higher.
• 5 years plus professional engineering experience.
• Trade experience would be advantageous.
• A team player, who is keen to grow professionally, and personally, and who wants to actively participate in the future-focussed growth of the business.
